New adidas Originals Flagship Store Berlin

The world's first adidas Originals store opened in Berlin on September 29th. Now, almost 13 years later, it has received an all-round makeover that is well worth seeing! On March 27th, the "new old" shop was opened and now presents itself in a completely changed design. Although the floor space of 300 square metres has not really changed, the new concept is much more airy and clearly arranged than before.

The shoe wall, which is much tidier and clearer, is now directly opposite the entrance and attracts you magnetically. Space has been created for current collections and collaborations such as with Top Shop. The overall look is grey exposed concrete, which has been skilfully highlighted by a sophisticated lighting concept. Other colours are copper and steel, which somehow always reflects Berlin. As a visual highlight, there is a three-dimensional city map directly behind the checkout, in which the Trefoil is incorporated. There is also a small lounge where you can read the latest magazines or books. Or you can check out the upcoming highlights from the company with the 3 stripes on the tablets provided.

There are also small exhibition corners including monitors that are always updated with the latest topics happening in and around the shop. Right from the start, there was a limited-edition ZX Flux adorned with an aerial view of Berlin. Together with the artist Saskia Hahn, a Berlin Manifesto was created, excerpts of which adorn the entire shop front. In addition, the well-known photographer Oliver Rath took some pictures in line with the theme, which are also on display in the shop.

All in all, adidas has definitely not skimped on creating a place where customers can feel at home. It will be interesting to see what other highlights are to come in the near future. In the course of the year, more shops will follow in London, Shanghai, Seoul, Moscow, New York and Paris. Here are more photos from the opening day. But it's best if you come and see for yourselves.
