Nike Releases the MX-720-818, a Combined Version of the AM98 and the AM720

It looks like Nike's pretty serious about the fusion trend. This is because very soon the recently introduced Air Max 200 will celebrate its debut, plus the fact that another silhouette from Nike is on the horizon. Dubbed "The Nike MX-720-818," these kicks are supposed to make sneakerheads' hearts beat faster.

Sharing the best of both worlds with designs being culled from The Nike Air Max 98 and the Air Max 720, this hybrid starts off the scene in two colourways: black and red/black versions. The upper is strongly based on the AM98's shape but is missing the usual overlays. Instead of leather, suede or mesh, the MX-720-818 comes with an upper made of nylon fabric with amazing stitching and an oval leather insert on the side panel. The sole clearly comes from the AM720. The red or black sole is transparent and has the model name printed on the back. Its mudguard is synthetic and has a grid-like pattern that complements the overall design.
