The Moncler x adidas Originals Collection Opens a New Era of Discovery

The new Moncler x adidas Originals collection differs from other collaborations in its focus on discovery, as the two iconic brands draw inspiration from their journey from the mountain tops down to the city. From the mountainous birthplace of Moncler to the urban base of adidas Originals, a selection of avant-garde designs come together to prove that function creates unlimited potential for discovery. 
 
Function takes shape in the collaboration between the two brands: adidas Originals has been changing the shape of urban sportswear since 2001, and Moncler has continuously innovated for exploration of the big wide world since its first mountain expedition in 1952. The Art of Explorers campaign focuses on the explorers themselves. With human endeavour as the core ideal of both brands, the explorer is represented as a shared figurehead through a series of AI-generated adventurers and a collection of unique mixed-media sculptures.

 

Moncler's signature shapes in iconic patent nylon are reinterpreted with adidas Originals details like the adi-break panel. A mix of bright colours evokes traffic lights in green, orange and red before jumping between concrete grey and sky blue, over off-white and organic dark green. Quilting, jacquards and prints are inspired by the patterns left by skiers on snowy slopes.
 
Plus, the NMD has been Moncler-ised and beefed up for winter with GORE-TEX and bubble padding. The iconic Campus has also been wrapped in bubble padding to add to the Moncler feel. The Moncler x adidas Originals collection will be available on moncler.com and adidas.co.uk from October 4th, 2023 and in select Moncler and adidas stores from October 5th, 2023.
