The Nike Air Max Triax 96 Looks Back on the Olympic Games 1996

The way Nike often places a high value on cult classics is not anymore surprising. Time and again we have seen the brand with the Swoosh reviving old silhouettes and reinventing them in ways that are unexpected.

The Nike Air Max Triax 96 is now preparing for its next classic debut in two OG colourways. The Nike Air Max Triax 96 dropped 23 years ago during the 1996 Olympic Games. Soon, the retro sneaker will once again take up the iconic shape, materials, and visible Air unit, wearing its two Nike OG colourways: "Varsity Royal" and "University Red".

The "Varsity Royal" has a light blue mesh upper, white leather overlays, and black suede inserts in the front. Blue details like the Swoosh as well as a blue heel complete the overall retro look.

A Nike Air Max Triax 96 "University Red" drops next. And, due to the black mesh base and the white leather overlays, the sneakers appear in a mega-retro style. Red accents found on the tongues, eyelets, Swoosh, and sole pay tribute to the said Nike archive.

The release of the Nike Air Max Triax 96 "Varsity Royal" and "University Red" is definitely not to be missed!

Nike already has the two OGs in the sneaker launch calendar. The official release is on December 5th. Don't miss the next news, restocks, and releases by getting the Grailify app. With it, you are always up to date.
