The people of Herzogenaurach are known for noteworthy collaborations that span across the globe. Collabs with Undefeated or Alexander Wang are often reissued several times a year. Now, a premier release is about to take place, because adidas has teamed up with the relatively young fashion brand BED j.w. FORD to create an interesting new collection that includes a capsule with clothes and three sneakers. As many of you already know, BED j.w. FORD is a Japanese fashion brand founded in 2010 by Shinpei Yamagishi.
The apparel collection lies somewhere between trendy and sporty. Although athletic wear such as training shorts or football jerseys are used, these garments are given an elegant touch to them.
"I think one of the most important factors in working together is that each brand can express its individual concept. We have tried to maintain the style of our brand and express the characteristics of adidas at the same level," says Shinpei Yamagishi.
The windbreaker jacket is both eye-catching and fashionable--a truly distinct feature of the collection. It consists of a mixture of woven and knitted materials and comes with a royal blend of maroon and burgundy. There are also brandings on the chest and the back on top of that. In terms of the shoe, there are three interesting sneaker models in the adidas x BED j.w. FORD collection. The designer gives it a predominantly dark colour palette. The first in the shoe collection presented in the pic is the adidas Kamanda, a football-inspired shoe that comes in a sock-style made with a mix of premium nubuck leather and PK material. Moving away from the football field and into the basketball court, the next pair is surely one Crazy BYW basketball shoe that comes with an all-black colour mix.
Last but not least is a rather unusual design from the seemingly endless adidas portfolio: The adidas Corsica. The moccasin in deck-style is featured here with the playful addition of the sockliner, which incidentally appears in all three pairs. A distinctive adidas logo and reflective details bring the shoe in harmony with the rest of the BED J.W. FORD capsule collection.
The release of this new adidas x BED j.w. FORD line is certainly not one to be missed!
