Nike Air Max 1 and Tinker Hatfield Bring to Us the Nike Air Max 1 “Sketch”
Ex-architect Tinker Hatfield and Nike present to us another important masterpiece, this time with the DIY Nike Air Max 1, succeeding their Trunner and N7 collection. This new creation bears the likeness of the former architect’s original sketch he drew on paper.
The sneaker appears as if it went straight from paper to real life, evoking a DIY feel. It features a distinctive classic University Red scribbled on the mudguard and on the swoosh part to give the overall look an avant-garde effect. The text, "Sketch, Property of Nike, Not For Resale," printed on the inner lining as well as a handwritten model name, “AIR MAX SKETCH,” on the midsole are particularly beautiful additions to this latest design. Hatfield's signature on the heels, which is also done in University Red, caps off the finishing touches.
