Nike Celebrates Independence Day with Air Max 1

The Fourth of July, or known as Independence Day to Americans, is a day that’s always been celebrated with great pride and patriotism. And, what better way to commemorate this important day than to welcome Nike’s release of its newest Air Max 1 "4th of July" in patriotic colorway. This stunning shoe was designed in honor of the Betsy Ross Flag as a followup to the original 2003 Air Max 1 “USA.”

This updated silhouette consists of a white mesh base contrasted with a red mudguard accented with a blue blue swoosh on a light grey overlay. The heel portion features Betsy Ross's original American flag design with 13 stars representing the original 13 states of the USA. The golden Air Max Unit stands out perfectly from the white midsole and the navy blue outsole. The finishing touch to the overall design comes with a circular patch on the tongue with the 13 stars surrounding the Nike Air logo.
