While Nike continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90, the first Nike sneaker to become popular in Russia is given its own iteration inspired by the capital: the Nike Air Max 90 Moscow, which celebrates the Russian capital's rich history and modern architecture.
The Nike Air Max 90 Moscow uses a smoke grey colour scheme that pays homage to the local architecture and the city's autumn skies. This is combined, as usual, with the typical Infrared and Laser Blue elements to reflect the city's night lights. The Nike Air Max 90 Moscow's classic leather and suede upper also features reflective accents to underline the futuristic aesthetic of the skyscrapers.
"Speed" and "City", which is written in Cyrillic and can be found on the heel and the sockliner, refer to the dynamic rhythm of the metropolis.
The shape of the Nike Air Max 90 Moscow is a 2020 recraft with a slimmer, lower toe area and a patterned layout of the original Swoosh shape on the media side and also a TPU base with the original logo shape.
