Through a handful of select collabs, for example, with premium luggage manufacturer RIMOWA and creative studio Philllllthy, adidas keeps the NMD line rolling. Pharrell in particular is increasingly reworking his own Humanrace sneaker. Here, the designer reduces the silhouette to the essentials for a minimalist approach.
Both the interior and exterior of the new Pharrell x adidas NMD S1 Hu are made of a linen-like textile wrapped in a single overlay of the same cloth. While most of this textile appears in undyed form, the heel receives a striking blue paint job, a finish that continues to the midsole.
Even the outsole is split down the middle, while the front base ends in a light brown-beige approach. Additionally, lightly printed Humanrace branding refines the design of the Pharrell x adidas NMD S1 Hu.
