adidas Releases a Superstar "Year of the Rat"

In a few weeks, the Chinese New Year celebration 2020 will begin. Our friends in the Far East will be celebrating the occasion from January 25th to February 11th. According to the Chinese astrology, 2020 is the year of the rat—the year that comes after the year of the pig.

Each year features a different Chinese zodiac animal. The rat is actually the first sign of these 12 animals. For this reason, 2020 is also considered the year of new beginnings and renewal.

For this occasion, adidas introduces a Superstar Clean "Year of the Rat", which pays tribute to the Chinese New Year. The smooth and clean canvas has been cleared to make room for the unique paintings. Each piece is made of leather.

On the outside is a black majestic crane, with blue wings and a red beak, while the inside features a pink koi that appears to be swimming towards the heel. A golden tiger is can also be seen on the white tongue.

The left shoe, on the other hand, shows completely different motifs and details. The heel alone is painted with a big tiger. In addition, a white rubber toe box, midsole, and outsole complete the overall design.
