The adidas Ultraboost Turns 5 Years Old

Who would have thought that the adidas Ultraboost was already turning an incredible 5 years old? adidas plans to celebrate this anniversary with a pack of two models inspired by the OG colours.

For the new year, adidas has already released different colourways for the adidas Ultraboost DNA and UB 20. But, the new pack takes the old colours from 2015 and celebrates the 5th anniversary of the adidas Ultraboost. The adidas Ultraboost "5th Anniversary" pack shows us the progressive evolution of the adidas Ultraboost from the 1.0 to the 20, using the archive and presenting the original colours.

In particular, the colour gradient on the Boost sole is one of the best upgrades adidas has been able to achieve in recent years. The adidas Ultraboost DNA as well as the UB 20 show this development with its special colourway. For us, the adidas Ultraboost DNA from the pack is particularly striking. Its two-part colourway runs from purple to black. The back part radiates a stronger colour and is accentuated with a gold Ultraboost logo.

The cage and Boost sole show the strongest colour gradient. Coloured Boost soles are a novelty for adidas. Five years ago, this detail was not all available. It was only recently that the Three Stripes had been adding colour to its cushioning.
