Louis Vuitton Sneaker Releases
Louis Vuitton | The King Of Luxury Clothing
Louis Vuitton Malletier, commonly known as Louis Vuitton, is one of the most valuable brands in the world. In 1954, the French luxury brand saw its birth and became one of the most valuable brands. The iconic LV branding is seen on shoes and every product they make. It has to be one of the most iconic monograms of all time.
The brand makes watches, jewellery, accessories, and more and sells in its boutiques or partners with other brands. The company has a whooping evaluation of over $50 billion and operates in over 50 countries.
Louis Vuitton is known for having exclusive collaborations with other brands, artists, athletes etc. One such example is parenting up with Nike and producing some iconic shoes of all time.
Virgil Abloh | Master at Work
In 2018, Louis Vuitton named the designer Virgil Abloh, the new men's artistic director. He became any luxury group's most influential black executive and participated in remarkable collaborations. Unfortunately, Abloh passed away in 2021. Yet, he is the mastermind behind iconic partnerships such as Nike Air Force 1.
Abloh was familiar with working with Nike; his last job at Off-White allowed him to work with the brand many times. As soon as he became part of LV, he knew some space was left and could take advantage of it. Thus, he came up with refashioning history by recreating the iconic AF1. It is the shoe responsible for setting the base for the footwear revolution.
Louis Vuitton x Nike
The LV Nike Air Force 1 made its first preview to the world in the Summer of 2021 on Maison's runway. Abloh connected the luxury feeling of the French brand with the history of Nike and created over 47 bespoke pairs of LV sneakers. Moreover, the French company made the sneaker in Fiesso d'Artico. It became the first time the AF1 was made outside the Nike factory.
All the designs in the collection showcase the materials used in the LV clothing and have a hint of an artistic approach by Abloh.
The List
In 2022, a new and unique marketing technique was used by Nike called the List. It was the List of highly selective designers, athletes, musicians and other high-profile individuals. They received the "Friends and Family" pairs of the LV AF1.
The List had some of the biggest names, from DJ Khaled to Eminem or LeBron James, all got a pair of AF1 in various colours. The shoe had a solid colour upper with LV monogram, white Swooshes, laces and midsole.
