LEGO Sneaker Releases
Lego is the first thing that comes to mind when we think of toys. The plastic building toys company is owned by The Lego Group, based in Billund, Denmark. They have the widest variety of coloured plastic bricks that can stack to form cities, mini-figures, gears and much more.
Among the group of collaborations, the plastic brick company has partnered with footwear companies like adidas, Nike and many others to create unique and vibrant shoes. The most popular among the late has to be the adidas Stan Smith, the Superstars etc.
LEGO x adidas ZX 8000
One of the early collaborations, the ZX 8000 shoe, came out in 2020 and was available both online and in retail shops. The shoe was a complete combination of both the partner’s styles. It had gradients from the adidas lineup with toy-inspired hues as well. Moreover, the logo of the toy company is on the tongue.
Lego is all about connecting bricks, so it has a hooked block feature on the grooves and ridges. The shoe brought back the aesthetic vibe from the 90s. Furthermore, the exciting part is the vivid red sole that sparks the shoe.
Women’s adidas Stan Smith x LEGO
Lego lovers are known for creating a new world with the help of plastic bricks, and with the help of iconic Stan Smith, they can take things even further. The shoes are so vibrant and comfortable that it sparks new ideas in the minds of constructors.
The shoe has a clean design with plastic brick lace jewellery that imitates mini sunflowers. It only increases the flowery vibe and makes you look great everywhere you go.
adidas Racer TR21 x LEGO shoes
The shoe has to be one of the most affordable in the collection, allowing sneakerheads to choose from black and blue colours.
As for the branding, it has turned the iconic 3 stripes into a more sporty splashing using plastic bricks. In addition to the cool looks, it has Cloudfoam Super midsole. And the rubber outsole makes it comfortable and grippy on almost all terrains.
adidas Originals Superstar x LEGO
The highly coveted classic Black/White variant of the iconic Superstar is one of the recent collaborations between the two giants. It makes the shoe even better by transforming it into a futuristic yet playful design.
The shoe has a unique shell toe, serrated 3 stripes logo, and black and white plastic brick design. At first glance, it may seem like the shoe is made of actual lego bricks. It was released exclusively to adidas stores, online and offline.
UltraBOOST 4.0 x LEGO
The UltraBoost is an iconic shoe in the modern world, and LEGO only takes it a notch further. It has a subtle colour theme based on the Boost cushion. The shoe has a mesh and textile outsole in the calm colour called “Footwear White.”
The toe box has an elevated design like one could join plastic bricks. At the same time, the tongue and heel structure is kept the same as the original UltraBoost.
The most creative detail is the three-stripe logo on the sides. It has the option to stick plastic bricks on it to provide colours. Or, if you are not feeling it, you can take them off to showcase the transparent composition. Moreover, Lego has added additional laces, sock liners and Lego plates for users.
